WHO WE ARE:
HOPE, Inc. was duly registered with the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission on October 21, 2002. We are a non-profit corporation dedicated to educating the Filipino people on issues concerning environmental and animal welfare.
The Philippines is home to over 3,800 species of endemic plants, 196 species of mammals, 975 species of reptiles and 950 species of birds, just to name a few, making the Philippines one of the most diverse ecosystems per hectare on the face of the earth. However, with the number of hectares of rain forests reduced to an appalling 5.5 million at present day, from over 21 million hectares at the beginning of the 20th century, a collective effort is necessary.
We intend to tap into the greatest resource available, the youth. Because they hold they key to the future, it is of utmost importance for us to educate them about the beauty, and destruction, of our country's landscape. Our programs are specially designed to attract and maintain the interest of our members, which will predominantly consist of college seniors, fresh college graduates and the young urban professional.
